New York-based band Gogol Bordello will potentially hold the most energetic concert of the summer in Vilnius. The musicians, known for their roof-raising music, will perform at the capital's "Vasaros terasa" next year on July 30. Gogol Bordello will begin their European tour in Lithuania, continuing on to Latvia, Estonia, and other countries.

During their tour, the band will present their album "We Mean It, Man!", which is set to be released in February. The band's concerts are unimaginable without hits such as "Wonderlust King", "Start Wearing Purple", "Pala Tute", or "My Companjera". After touring the North American continent at the beginning of the year, Gogol Bordello will move to Europe in the summer.

The musicians are very popular in our country and this will be their sixth visit. The band's first appearance took place back in 2009 at the "Be2gether" festival.

Tickets for the Gogol Bordello concert in Vilnius on July 30 are distributed by "Shownet.lt". Tickets can only be purchased with a special code on Tuesday and Wednesday, and general sale will start on Thursday.

In the music scene, Gogol Bordello remains unique and has no analogues. Since their debut in New York in 1999, the band has grown into an international collective of musicians representing different countries: Ukraine, USA, Great Britain, Ethiopia, Ecuador, and others. The driving force of the band is the Ukrainian-born artist Eugene Hütz. He is not only a singer, guitarist, and composer but also an inseparable part of the New York bohemia.

The musicians' unique style is an explosive mixture of rock energy, punk momentum, and authentic gypsy rhythms, which has equally successfully captivated attendees of major festivals like "Glastonbury", "Sziget", or "Coachella", as well as the discerning audience of the art world, gathering for special performances at the Venice Biennale or London's "Tate Modern" gallery. Stars such as singer Madonna, and actors Elijah Wood or Johnny Depp are also fans of the band's work.

A turning point in the band's history was 2005, with the release of the album "Super Taranta!", which received great attention from the world's most influential music publishing companies and festival organizers. During the "Live Earth" concert in 2007, Gogol Bordello appeared on stage with Madonna, and that live TV broadcast, reaching hundreds of millions of viewers, instantly turned the merry punks into global stars.
