Legendary U.S. Band Fun Lovin' Criminals Announce New Album and Live Show in Vilnius
More than three decades since their formation, the ever-energetic American band Fun Lovin’ Criminals have announced the release of their long-awaited seventh studio album this summer. To mark the occasion, the band will embark on an extensive tour — and Lithuania is on the list.
On November 2nd, Fun Lovin’ Criminals will take the stage at the Vakaris Vilnius concert hall. “Both the album and the tour were just a matter of time,” smiles the band’s founding member, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Brian “Fast” Leiser, revealing the upcoming album’s title – A Matter of Time.
With this record, the legendary trio promises a return to their roots – a blend of funk and rock seasoned with hip-hop flair. The album will be available for pre-order starting May 23rd, the same day the band is set to release the first single.
Fun Lovin’ Criminals formed in New York City in 1993. Their debut album Come Find Yourself went platinum, followed by the equally successful 100% Colombian. Their most famous track, “Scooby Snacks,” features iconic soundbites from Quentin Tarantino films. To date, the band has released six studio albums, numerous singles, and sold millions of records worldwide.

The band has visited Lithuania once before — in 2006, they were the headlining act of the Radiocentras Awards held at the then Siemens Arena.
“We’ve performed everywhere — from the West Coast of the U.S. to the eastern shores of New Zealand. The reason audiences welcome us so warmly is our freedom to create the kind of music we love. We've been on stage for three decades and have no plans to disappear — well, except on tour, of course. Our fans have waited years for new music, and we can’t wait to serve it up on this fresh menu,” says drummer Frank Benbini.
Fun Lovin’ Criminals will return to Lithuania after nearly 20 years on November 2nd at Vakaris Vilnius. Tickets are available via Shownet.lt. The concert is organized by music agency M.P.3, which is also behind the Lithuanian tour of the band Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys and the 60th-anniversary show of rock legends Scorpions in Riga.
