A limited-edition glow-in-the-dark vinyl released for the biggest “Lemon Joy” fans
The album Mylėt tave taip beprotiška ir keista recently marked its 25th anniversary, making it the perfect occasion for a special reissue. “I’m happy that yet another album by the band has been released on vinyl,” says Lemon Joy frontman Igoris Kofas. Presented at the bustling Music Hall during the Book Fair, this new release is the band’s fifth vinyl album following Willkommen, 2021, Super, and Stebuklas.
Mylėt tave taip beprotiška ir keista is available in classic black vinyl, while a limited collector’s edition of only 100 copies features a glow-in-the-dark vinyl pressing. It is possibly the first Lithuanian “glow-in-the-dark” vinyl ever produced.
“We continue our mission to release Lemon Joy’s catalog in vinyl format, and it’s finally time for their iconic album Mylėt tave taip beprotiškai ir keista (2025 Remaster). Now 25 years old, it hasn’t aged a bit—it remains just as powerful and captivating. Every song on this album is either a hit or sounds like one, and the album itself is simply one big hit,” says Vaidas Stackevičius, head of the M.P.3 agency responsible for the band’s production.
As Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant, who shared the stage with Lemon Joy in 2000 at Žalgiris Stadium in Vilnius (and who took this album home as a gift from Lithuania), might put it—this is Lemon Joy’s imperial phase. A band in full bloom.
Mylėt tave taip beprotiška ir keista is available in a standard black vinyl edition as well as a limited glow-in-the-dark edition, which also includes a 7-inch single (45 RPM) featuring remixes by Jovani and Danell Arma. The remix single is also available separately.
This and other Lemon Joy albums can be found on Buymusic.lt.
