U.S. Rap Legend The Game Sparks Controversy with a New Video and Kicks Off European Tour: One Month Until the Show in Vilnius
On Monday, March 3, U.S. rapper The Game launched his massive European tour, The Documentary 20th Anniversary Tour, with a concert in Lisbon. This tour celebrates the debut of his first album, which propelled him to the pinnacle of the rap scene. Among the tour stops is Vilnius, where The Game will perform at Compensa Concert Hall in exactly one month, on April 3.
Last week, the rap legend made headlines after releasing a controversial new track, Tina, featuring none other than Kanye West. The song is rumored to reference Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles. The release was accompanied by a bizarre and widely discussed music video, which, according to the credits, was directed and produced by Ye himself.
The Game and Kanye have been longtime friends. Recently, The Game took to Instagram to showcase an extravagant gift from his fellow rapper—two luxurious mirror-finished Maybach cars, given to him on an ordinary Friday:
The Game’s name has been announced on the most prestigious music award stages, including the Grammy Awards, MTV Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and BET Awards. His biggest hits, such as Hate It or Love It and How We Do, have amassed over a billion streams on Spotify, YouTube, and other platforms. With ten studio albums to his name, The Game is currently working on his eleventh, set for release in 2025.
Beyond music, The Game has also made a name for himself in film, documentaries, and television. His voice has even been featured in video games, including the legendary Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Nevertheless, The Game remains best known for the very thing that launched him into stardom in 2005—his debut album, The Documentary, which will be the focal point of his European tour, including the Vilnius show. Upon its release, the album debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum in the U.S. It features iconic tracks like How We Do, Dreams, and Hate It or Love It.

The Documentary album was shaped with contributions from rap superstars such as Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, Kanye West, and Just Blaze.
Born in 1979 as Jayceon Terrell Taylor, The Game’s early years were nothing short of cinematic. Before his rise to fame, he was involved in drug dealing and was even shot during a home invasion. This near-death experience pushed him away from crime and into music. He has openly credited legendary artists like 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z as his inspirations. He began rapping in 2001 and quickly caught the attention of Dr. Dre, who helped him land his first major record deals.
Now, Lithuanian fans will have the chance to witness The Game live on April 3 at Compensa Concert Hall in Vilnius, as part of the spectacular The Documentary 20th Anniversary Tour. Tickets are available at Shownet.lt.
The Game’s concerts in Lithuania and Latvia are organized by the M.P.3 music agency, which is currently producing Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio Dantys’ tour across Lithuania’s smaller towns and, this summer, will bring rock legends Scorpions to Riga for their 60th Anniversary Tour.
