Admit it, this sounds impressive: the legendary rock band "Scorpions" is celebrating its 60th anniversary on stage. On that occasion, the musicians are embarking on a huge world tour, during which more than 30 concerts are planned - the first will take place in Mexico on March 15, and the rockers will perform right next to us, in neighboring Latvia, on June 11. Now it turns out that the band is preparing not only for the tour - frontman Klaus Meine has confirmed, that filming of a biographical film about the "Scorpions", behind the scenes of touring and, of course, the band's history, which is colored by numerous scandalous events, will finally begin.

The film will be named in honor of one of the "Scorpions'" most prominent hits - "Wind Of Change". Filming will begin in May, but the premiere date is being kept secret for now.

Scorpions – “Wind Of Change” video:

“We know that the action will pick up in May, and what happens next – I have no idea,” said K. Meine. “We hope to see the movie out in the fall. That would be great. But no one can promise anything, because there are a million things that can go wrong or vice versa - everything can go smoothly and appear on the screens earlier. We agreed with the creators that we will be a part of it all, we are very supportive of the team. They have a clear concept for the film, the script is also quite cool. But if during the process there are things that need to be adjusted, we will all participate in it together. We are really waiting and can't wait to see what will come of it. "

The "Scorpions" leader also confirmed that the band members are involved in both casting and writing the script.

"The producers have assembled a large team of professionals, in whom we have great trust. We participated in casting, we selected candidates together, because no one knows us better than we do. But there is a lot that we leave to the will of the producing company, because we have no doubt that everything will be done with all the heart. We are all interested in the success of this project, because the biography will be like a legacy for future generations and will tell our true, unvarnished story,” the vocalist assured.

“Scorpions” is deservedly considered the most famous German rock band in history and one of the most influential rock bands of the 80s in the world. The band has sold over 120 million records and played over 5 thousand concerts worldwide.

“We are all very happy, we can’t wait to celebrate the 60th anniversary together with our dearest friends – the fans,” says singer K. Meine, who has been involved in the band’s activities since 1969, and leaves room for intrigue. – This tour will be like a festival. Who knows, maybe we won’t be the only ones on stage!”

The legendary “Scorpions” have gained unfading fame and are known all over the world. Rock fans of all generations grew up listening to the Scorpions' most famous ballads and hits "Wind of Change", "Rock You Like a Hurricane", "Still Loving You", "Send Me an Angel", "Big City Nights" and many other immortal works.

The band consists of Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (guitar), Rudolf Schenker (guitar), Mikkey Dee (drums) and Pawel Maciwoda (bass guitar).

The concert of the huge Anniversary tour in Riga, at the newly renamed largest Xiaomi Arena (formerly Arena Riga), will take place this summer, on June 11. Tickets in Lithuania are distributed by Shownet.lt.

The music agency M.P.3, which is organizing the concert in Riga, also invites you to the tour of the group "Antikvarianiai Kašpirovskio dantys" around smaller Lithuanian cities and towns this year and the concert of the European tour of the US rap legend The Game in Vilnius.
