The Band "Antis" Joins the Planet Parade with a "Cosmic" Greatest Hits Album

Tonight, as six major planets align in a breathtaking celestial parade, the legendary Lithuanian band Antis adds its own planet to the lineup. To celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary, a special double vinyl album titled "Antis-40: Greatest Hits" has been released. Pressed on black and red vinyl, the album cover features a striking red egg-shaped planet in the sky.

“This is the most beautiful album Antis has ever released. And that’s not all—never before has so much of Antis’s best music been collected in a single album!” says the band’s iconic frontman, Algirdas Kaušpėdas.

The album, "Antis-40: Greatest Hits," was co-released by music labels M.P.3 and Zona. The cosmic design for the album was created by the design studio Studija Creata. The vinyl includes 23 of the band’s most iconic tracks, such as "Kažkas atsitiko," "Pokštas," "Zombiai," as well as "Mes rimti," "Lietuvos valstybė," "Debesys," and "Ko tu stovi?," "Alyvos," "Klasėj mane kalbina," "Kontrolierė," "Aš pasitaisysiu," and "Nauji Metai."

The tracks were prepared for release by renowned sound engineer Mazen Murad (Katara Studios), who has previously worked on albums by The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Erasure, and others, as well as the 2023 album "ANTIS kaip KAnDIs" by Algirdas Kaušpėdas and Viktoras Diawara.

The new Antis greatest hits vinyl will also be showcased at the Music Hall during the Vilnius Book Fair in late February. However, eager fans can already purchase the album online at Buymusic.lt.

In December, the band hosted several intimate concerts to commemorate its 40th anniversary. On February 15th, Algirdas Kaušpėdas invites fans once again to a special performance at the Vandenis music club in Palanga. Together with Viktoras Diawara and drummer Vytis Vainilaitis, they will perform the most beloved songs of Antis and KAnDIs.
