This Sunday, Camouflage Returns to Vilnius: A Story About a Lithuanian Trying to Sell Them a Passport and an Unwritten Rule
This Sunday, November 24, the legendary synth-pop band often referred to as the German "Depeche Mode"—Camouflage—will perform at Vilnius’ Compensa Concert Hall. The event promises to leave a lasting impression not only on the gathered fans but also on the musicians themselves. The final show of their 40th-anniversary tour, "Camouflage Live Tour 2024 (Rewind to the Future and Goodbye)", will take place in Lithuania.
Visiting the country for the fourth time, the band fondly remembers Lithuania, not only because of their large and loyal fan base but also due to a peculiar incident that happened to one of the band members here in the past.
Naturally, four decades on the road have brought with them a wide range of experiences. As Camouflage frontman Marcus Meyn shares, these have included both wonderful moments and ones they would rather forget as soon as possible.
"Among the band members, we have an unwritten rule—we take the stage every time as if it were our last. This mindset drives us to give our absolute all to the audience. During this tour, while performing in our home country of Germany, I had to deal with a Covid infection, which made it a bit challenging to fully enjoy the shows. However, I believe the fans didn’t notice, as I gave every ounce of energy I had. Now that I’ve fully recovered, I’m confident the concerts in Riga and Vilnius will be truly special and, given it’s the tour’s finale, incredibly emotional as well," said the Camouflage frontman.
