"Biplan" and Gamka Present a Collaborative Track Full of Compliments for Each Other
The latest work by Vilnius-based band "Biplan" is a duet with alternative music artist Gamka. As "Biplan" approaches their 30th anniversary next year, they have nothing but praise for the new generation musician, while Gamka recalls growing up with the hit "Labas rytas" and calls his creative experience with "Biplan" a dream come true.
"Kada kada" is the first collaborative track between "Biplan" and Gamka. It is accompanied by a summery music video. The song was inspired by a youthful rush to live, and the musicians playfully ask, "So when, then?" The song by "Biplan" and Gamka is already playing on radio stations and is now available on all music platforms.
"Probably, the title of our new single follows everyone who asks questions ranging from the simple—when will summer finally come?—to that indescribable youthful feeling—when will everything start, when will life begin, when will something happen that we don't even know yet?" say "Biplan" members Maksas Melmanas and Olegas Aleksejevas.
"In any case, when asking and searching for all sorts of answers, one should approach it with more lightness. It seems natural, even self-evident, that this idea led us to collaborate with Gamka!" smile Maksas and Olegas.
It seems that fate brought "Biplan" and Gamka together for this joint creation. The "Biplan" musicians have admired Gamka's work for several years, and they were pleasantly surprised when they heard his rendition of "Labas rytas" on a television show. Moreover, group members Seržas Grėjus and Olegas Aleksejevas recall that while recording the new song in the studio, Gamka reminded them a lot of "Biplan" vocalist Maksas in his youth.
"Working with 'Biplan' was like a dream come true! I remember watching the video for 'Labas rytas' and how it transported me into a mysterious and witty reality—it already seemed back then that I was performing that song with them," laughs Gamka. "Of course, it was just an illusion and a dream, but how fun it is when it becomes reality!"
According to Gamka, "Biplan" musicians are true specialists in their field, so it was interesting to see how they work and pay attention to every detail—in music, in lyrics, and in melody performance.
"Everything is important to them, but at the same time, the whole process was wrapped in an air of simplicity and lightness," says the musician. "We had fun the entire time, both while recording and filming the video. The emotional atmosphere was great throughout the project, and I’m very happy about this event!"
The video for the song "Kada kada" was created by the video production team "Breadbakers," also known as "duonkepiai" by their clients, who have worked with many Lithuanian artists and brands, including Gamka himself. The video creators, in consultation with the song's creators, were responsible for the idea, filming, directing, and editing of the video. The team also included the wonderful actresses Viktorija Vilkelytė and Kornelija Juciūtė, as well as makeup artists and stylists.
"We believe the video successfully reflects the summery mood of the song. The creation of the video was dynamic—from the idea of a trip to the seaside, almost a subtle continuation of 'Biplan's' video 'O mes prie jūros,' to the concept of filming a music video within a video," say "Breadbakers."
"A funny detail— in the video, we see the actresses being late to the shoot because their car broke down, and in reality, it was quite similar..." laughs the video-making team. "Nevertheless, everything went smoothly and easily, and this is reflected in the video, and the result is delightful!"

"Kada kada" is the latest single by "Biplan" from the band's upcoming album. Over the past few years, the musicians have already introduced songs through music videos such as "Be penkių vidurnaktį," "Viskas kaip patinka tau," "Sveikas sugrįžęs namo," "Mėlynos akys," and other tracks.
