"Lemon Joy" Sea of Fans in Vilnius Sings Along to All the Hits

The "Lemon Joy" concert held in Vilnius on Tuesday (August 25) turned into a spectacular celebration of music. The first of the band's two sold-out shows drew massive interest yesterday. This year, two such evenings are scheduled in the capital—all tickets for both "Lemon Joy" performances at "Vasaros terasa" were sold out in advance. Tonight, the band will step onto the stage for the second time, where they will meet their fans once again.

"Last year, all tickets for the "Lemon Joy" concert in Vilnius were snapped up a month and a half before the event, but this year, hosting two completely sold-out shows in a row in the heart of the capital is a huge recognition that shows the band's unflagging energy. The packed terrace yesterday also proved that these end-of-summer concerts are highly anticipated," said Vaidas Stackevičius, head of the music agency "M.P.3".

The band started the concert by performing their latest track "Žinai". "Good evening, "Lemon Joy" is with you!", Igoris Kofas greeted the crowd as the track finished and the band began playing the opening chords of the song "Ne apie mus (Koks pašėlęs tempas)". The track from the highly successful 2006 album "1210" instantly got the audience moving.

The evening, which was well underway, continued with two well-known songs performed one after the other. First came "Ylang Ylang", which Igoris called "the happiest song of the band". "A song about summer, of which we still haven't had enough," this is how Igoris Kofas introduced the version of the classic "Foje" hit "Geltoni krantai". Everyone in attendance sang the lyrics of this song along with him.

The sounds of another of the most popular "Lemon Joy" hits, which followed shortly after, caused euphoria in the sea of spectators. "Now a song of our own creation will be played, which we wrote when we were still teenagers," Igoris Kofas recalled before performing the song "Balta meilė". Last year, a cover of this track was recorded by the band "Katarsis".

Later, the band delighted fans by performing the well-known songs "Tavo draugas", "Su pirma saulės šviesa", "Vasaros laiškai", "Kita diena", "Žaidimas", "1000 kelių į šviesą", and "Ten, kur mylėjau".

In the second part of the concert, the atmosphere was blasted by one popular hit after another: "Be atšvaitų", "Karolis", "Mylėt tave taip beprotiška ir keista", and the unforgettable remake of the classic "Hiperbolė" song "Pamiršk mane".

The icing on the cake was one of the band's best-known hits, "Kažkada". This was the only song performed during the encore, setting the tone to expect that tonight's second consecutive sold-out "Lemon Joy" concert will be no less energetic and delightful for all fans of "Lemon Joy" music.

After tonight's performance, the band can be heard in Vilnius two more times—on August 28 and 29, "Lemon Joy" will open the concerts of the singer Jessica Shy in "Vingio parkas". Later, "Lemon Joy" will hold a concert at the festival "Botaninės naktys", which will take place on September 5 at the "VDU Botanikos sodas" in Kaunas. This will be the last opportunity to hear the band under the open sky this season.
