“Gogol Bordello” Kicks Off European Tour in Lithuania: Vilnius to Turn Purple

Tomorrow, Vilnius will turn purple: on Thursday, July 30th, the famous New York band “Gogol Bordello” will perform a spectacular concert at the capital's “Vasaros terasa”. The authors of the hit “Start Wearing Purple” are eagerly looking forward to the meeting and are delighted that the Lithuanian capital has been temporarily declared an alternative culture punk “Gogol Bordero” republic. This unique support campaign, which has brought together more than 15 creative cultural spaces in the capital under the slogan “Music brought us here. Solidarity keep us together”, invites residents of Vilnius and guests of the city to support Ukraine and claim an exclusive, limited-edition “Gogol Bordero” republic badge.

“Gogol Bordello” will start their European tour this Thursday in Lithuania – performing at “Vasaros terasa” in Vilnius on July 30th. After their stay in our country, the musicians will travel to our Latvian brothers, where they will appear at the “Summer Sound” festival in Liepāja on July 31st. On August 1st, “Gogol Bordello” will perform in Estonia, at the “Helitehas” club in Tallinn.

Spending the entire summer on the Old Continent, the musicians of “Gogol Bordello” will later visit Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Turkey – in total, the band will play nearly 30 concerts during this tour. In the autumn, “Gogol Bordello” will return to the USA and extend their concert tour in North America.

During the European tour concerts, “Gogol Bordello” will not only perform their biggest hits like “Wonderlust King”, “Start Wearing Purple”, “Pala Tute”, “My Companjera”, but will also present their latest work – the album “We Mean It, Man!”. The legendary music producer Nick Launay contributed to the sound of the band's newest songs – a music industry giant who has previously collaborated with Nick Cave & “The Bad Seeds”, “Yeah Yeah Yeahs”, “Amyl & The Sniffers”, “Idles”, and “Gang of Four”.
