The band "Tautumeitas" celebrated the release of the album "Līgojami" dedicated to the solstice in a sauna, invites to a Midsummer concert in Vilnius

In anticipation of the summer solstice week, Latvian band Tautumeitas has released the album Līgojami – a musical tribute to the magical time of year, when traditional summer songs take on a modern and energetic sound. The band celebrated the album release with friends and partners at a community bathhouse in Riga, where, amid the summer rain, they sang songs from the new album and enjoyed bathhouse rituals on the banks of the Daugava River.

Līgojami is the first album by Tautumeitas to be entirely dedicated to the theme of the solstice. It contains songs rooted in the traditions of Latvian Midsummer, the rhythms of nature and the rituals of the solstice.

The album is created in two different moods: some songs are performed with rich instrumental accompaniment, dominated by ritual dance rhythms and pulsating energy, while in the other part, the voices of the girls of “Tautumeitas” sound in their purest form in polyphonic harmonies, allowing the power of Latvian traditional singing to manifest itself in full force.

This Wednesday, June 24, “Tautumeitas” will hold the most anticipated Midsummer concert in Vilnius, at “Vasaros terasas”. After the stunning success at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, where their song “Bur man laimi” earned the highest possible 12 points from Lithuania, the talented girls are coming to meet our country’s fans.

The work of the group “Tautumeitas” goes beyond traditional folklore and successfully spreads the message of Baltic culture around the world – from the stages of the “Glastonbury” and “Eurosonic” festivals to concerts in Melbourne and Tokyo.
