Germany's Legends "Camouflage" Return to Lithuania to Celebrate the Band's 40th Anniversary!

2024.08.09 16:21

Great news for electronic synthpop music fans—on November 24, the legendary German band "Camouflage" will perform at the "Compensa" concert hall in Vilnius. During their "Camouflage Live Tour 2024 (Rewind to the Future and Goodbye)," the band will celebrate their 40th anniversary together with their fans.

"The pause in our activity in 2016 inspired us to come back and celebrate the band's anniversary. 'Camouflage' represents 40 years of music, videos, and photos. We want to share these memories with you and the entire team," say the musicians. However, according to them, this tour requires not just nostalgia, success, and excitement. There must also be new content, not just memories and archival material.

In their concert, the musicians will play not only their well-known songs but also promise new creations. "We wouldn’t be 'Camouflage' if we didn’t accept new challenges. We'll head to the studio with the entire band to gather inspiration for new songs, so that later this year we can joyfully recreate a new and even more interesting 'Camouflage.' Only then, in our view, does it make sense to tour, as it intertwines the past, present, and future, offering a new concept that will deliver the performance quality that both you and we expect," the band states in their announcement.

"Camouflage" will return to Lithuania after 13 years. Previously, the band visited our country with great success in 2004, 2006, and 2011. The concerts in the Baltics this fall will be the only performances outside of Germany this year. The band's music is very popular among listeners in Lithuania. "Camouflage" is one of the most famous representatives of the synthpop genre, alongside legends like "Depeche Mode," "Erasure," "Pet Shop Boys," "a-ha," OMD, and others.

"Camouflage" was formed in the southeastern German town of Bietigheim-Bissingen (then West Germany) in 1983. The band gained fame with hits like "Love Is a Shield" and "The Great Commandment," which became timeless classics and are still frequently played on radio stations. Other successful songs include "Strangers Thoughts," "Heaven (I Want You)," "Me and You," and "I Can't Feel You."

The band's most famous albums include "Methods of Silence" (1989), "Voices & Images" (1988), and "Sensor" (2003). The band’s most recent work, "Greyscale," was released in 2015 and reached a high 14th place on the German album charts.
