A new version of the song “Lietuvos valstybė” – a call not to surrender to chaos

The group “KAnDIs”, formed by Algirdas Kaušpėdas and Viktoras Diawara, presents a new version of the cult song by “Antis” – “Lietuvos valstybė 2026”. The song has been adapted to today’s realities – in the new lyrics the friendship train is “New York - Moscow”, and the “fragrant European” has become the “excellent American”.

According to Algirdas Kaušpėdas, 2026 is an extremely brutal year. “Wars have become almost a daily occurrence. Where will the state of Lithuania end up in this chaos? Will we preserve it? ‘Lietuvos valstybė 2026’ is a call not to surrender to that chaos,” says Algirdas Kaušpėdas.

The final sound corrections of the new song were completed at the famous Abbey Road studio in London. The guitar in this track was played by one of Lithuania’s most prominent guitarists, Tomas Varnagiris. The song has so far been performed live only once, at the end of February during the TV marathon in support of Ukraine, “Radarom! 2026: The fight is not over”.

On Friday, “Lietuvos valstybė 2026” was released on all music platforms as well as on YouTube, where it attracted significant interest. In just a few days, the track has already reached 150 thousand views.
