The band "Biplan" is intensely preparing for their grand concert, "Biplan 30," and has released a new song and music video. One of Lithuania's longest-running continuous musical acts marks Valentine's Day by releasing the track "Nepamiršk manęs". An exclusive one-take music video was filmed for the song, which will also be performed at the band’s anniversary concert on April 11 at the "Compensa" concert hall in Vilnius.
Tickets for the festive "Biplan 30" concert can be purchased via the Shownet.lt ticketing platform.
The new song "Nepamiršk manęs" was recorded for "Biplan's" latest album, "Viskas kaip patinka tau" (Everything How You Like It), released at the end of last year.
"This song can resonate in many ways—as a declaration and celebration of love, or as a confession or even a farewell. This soft, lyrical track is perfect for Valentine's Day," says Maksas Melmanas, who hopes it will find its way into listeners' hearts.
The music video for "Nepamiršk manęs" is unique, filmed in a single shot without any edits. The band's leader could talk about the filming process endlessly, as it was far from simple. The initial idea was to film everything in one take, but the creative team soon realized the concept might fail.
In the video, Melmanas glides above the water on an electric surfboard—an "eFoil." The musician spent many hours on the lakes of Trakai mastering the board. Unfortunately, once filming began, it seemed the one-take plan might fall through. After hours in the cold water, the team asked Melmanas for one final attempt. Fortune favored them—the last take was a success.
"Nepamiršk manęs" video joins a list of famous one-take music videos, such as Radiohead's "No Surprises", Massive Attack's "Unfinished Sympathy", and OK Go's "Here It Goes Again". In Lithuania, similar one-take videos have been created by "Beissoul & Einius" ("Smile"), "Junior A" ("Flashbacks"), and "Antikvariniai Kašpirovskio dantys" ("Į Venesuelą" and "Indai").
"Nepamiršk manęs" is the ninth and final song from the album "Viskas kaip patinka tau" to receive a music video or visualization. This weekend, the band will perform at the seaside: two shows on Saturday, February 14, at the "Vandenis" music club in Palanga, and on Sunday, February 15, at "Agila" in Nida.
On April 11, "Biplan" invites fans to their celebratory birthday concert at the Compensa Concert Hall in Vilnius.
