By Popular Demand: Extra "The Phantom of the Opera" Show Added After Record Sales

2026.02.10 10:22

Following the announcement of the Lithuanian tour for Andrew Lloyd Webber's world-renowned musical The Phantom of the Opera, all five consecutive shows in Vilnius have seen immense interest. After a record-breaking surge in ticket sales, an additional opportunity to experience the magic of this legendary musical has been announced. Music agency M.P.3, in collaboration with Broadway Entertainment Group, LW Entertainment, legendary British producer Cameron Mackintosh, and The Really Useful Theatre Company, is adding an extra matinee performance.
Additional Matinee Performance
Vilnius is the first city in this year's tour to require an additional show. Between 50% and 90% of tickets have already been sold for the previously announced performances taking place May 19–24 at the Twinsbet Arena, which is being specially adapted for the production.
"We are seeing enormous interest in The Phantom of the Opera – tickets are being purchased not only in Vilnius but across all regions of Lithuania. This additional matinee will be particularly appreciated by those who value time and comfort," says Vaidas Stackevičius, head of the M.P.3 music agency. "This is an exceptionally convenient time for guests of the capital; they can arrive in Vilnius at their leisure, enjoy the greatest musical of all time, and return home safely and calmly that same evening."
The additional matinee performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera will take place at the Twinsbet Arena on Saturday, May 23, at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available at Bilietai.lt box offices and online.

A. L. Webber - The Phantom of the Opera

The Longest-Running and Most Successful Musical in History

The Phantom of the Opera is more than a musical—it is a cultural phenomenon and one of the most successful shows in the world. Based on the 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux, the story follows a mysterious, disfigured musical genius known as the Phantom, who haunts the depths of an opera house and falls in love with a talented young singer, Christine. Since its 1986 West End debut, Lloyd Webber's masterpiece has been performed in 195 cities worldwide, attracting over 160 million spectators and winning more than 70 major theatre awards.

The Anniversary and Final Tour

As it celebrates its 40th anniversary with a jubilee tour across Europe, this will be the final time Lloyd Webber's masterpiece hits the road. For the first and last time, the Lithuanian audience will be able to witness the original production in all its grandeur, featuring iconic arias, lavish costumes, and the breathtaking, world-famous crystal chandelier.

The original production of The Phantom of the Opera will be hosted at the Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius from May 19 to May 24.
